# Quick start guide: TMD Chain Lock

Follow the below guide to quickly get started with your TMD Chain Lock.

###### 1. Install the app

* Download the TMD Locks app from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tmd-locks/id6477869650) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmdsecurity.tmd_locks&hl=en).
* Make sure Bluetooth and mobile data or Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone.

###### 2. Allow app permissions

* Allow Bluetooth access.
* Allow location access when the app requests it.

###### 3. Create an account

* Open the app and select "[Create account](https://help.tmdlocks.com/en-us/article/download-the-app-and-create-an-account-zjkyxt/)".
* Enter your details and confirm your email address.
* Log in with your account.

###### 4. Add your lock

* Make sure you are close to your lock.
* In the app, select "[Add lock](https://help.tmdlocks.com/en-us/article/pair-the-lock-with-your-account-1bg1pvq/)".
* Follow the on-screen steps to pair the lock.
* Wait until you see a confirmation that the lock has been added successfully.

###### 5. Ready to use

Your lock is now paired and ready for daily use.
