Opening the lock

In this article you can read how to open your TMD Chain Lock using the lock button or via the app, and what to do if the emergency code starts instead of the lock opening.

Requirements for opening

• You must be connected.
• The lock must be charged.

How to open your lock with the lock button (recommended)

1. Approach your lock.
2. Your phone should connect to the lock automatically. The lock button turns blue for 5 seconds to indicate a successful connection.
3. Press and hold the lock button until it turns green and you can hear a beep, this means that the lock is opening.
4. Pull the chain very lightly. You don't have to pull hard.

If the emergency code starts instead of the lock opening

When your lock doesn't open, and instead the emergency code starts, you are not connected to the lock. This can happen from time to time, especially if you haven't connected your lock for a while. When this happens, just open your app and your lock should connect automatically. Note that the emergency code will stop automatically when you connect to the lock.

Tip: you can cancel the emergency code by pressing and holding the lock button.

Opening via the app

1. Open the app.
2. Swipe up the remote control on the home screen.
3. Press "Open".
